In the following two decades since that weekend in Lille I’ve been fortunate to visit over 40 countries on four continents.
There have been many highlights during my travels. I’ve survived the hike to Bhutan’s Tiger Nest Monastery, taken a road trip around Iceland’s Westfjords, I’ve stopped to see koala bears on the Great Ocean Road, fallen head over heels in love with Venice, been to the most northern point of New Zealand and even gone bowling in Pyongyang.
During the course of my travels I’ve also made several return journeys to a number of countries that I love, such as Iceland, Japan, the Netherlands, South Korea, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Italy and Malaysia.
After living in London for nearly 20 years, in 2017 I moved to Asia, firstly to Singapore before relocating to Tokyo a few years later.
It was in 2017 that I launched Where You’re Between, combining my love of travel, writing and photography to create detailed travel guides for the destinations that I’ve visited.
